I was born and raised in the small town of Owensboro, KY, moved to Louisville, KY to pursue my B.S. in Education from Spalding University, and then went on to earn my Masters of Education from Indiana University Southeast. Eventually my husband, Matt, and I ventured across the Ohio River with our five active and amazing sons to plant our roots in New Albany, Indiana. Over the years, I've served in many ministry capacities, authored two children's books, and helped write curriculum for Vacation Bible School and for Children's Ministry. A few years ago, I began to serve in a more formal role on staff at my home church as the Women's Ministry Director, and now serve as the Director of Next Steps.
In recent years, I have attended Crosspoint's Deeper Journey retreats and received excellent training through the Soul Care Institute and Enneagram Intensive Training.
I am passionate about spiritual formation, story work, and journeying with people through the wounds, pain, disappointment, and struggles that life can bring. I am particularly dedicated to working with women who have experienced betrayal trauma in their marriage, and families navigating the challenges of neurodiversity or addiction. In my own story, I have seen God bring beauty out of suffering, as I continue to pursue and experience deep and transformative healing. It is a joy for me to journey with others, to hear their stories, and hold hope with and for them that transformation, freedom, and healing is possible.
