Years ago, after walking through a series of painful experiences in ministry, Peter wasn't sure he would ever be able to pastor again. He was burnt out, disoriented with church, struggling in his home life, and wrestling with anxiety and depression. During that season, he received soul care from a provider at Crosspoint, whose presence was transformative. Through that relationship, Peter experienced the loving presence of God. He learned what it was to come home to God, and to come home to himself (head, heart and body). He now has a passion for helping others find similar wholeness in Christ.
Peter holds a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Crown College in Knoxville, TN, and an M.Div. from Geneva Reformed Seminary. He has completed Crosspoint's two-year Soul Care Institute, Level 1 and 2 Certification in Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and has completed training as a Master Mental Health Coach with a specialization in trauma-informed coaching through AACC (American Association of Christian Counseling). His coaching is Christ-centered, clinically-informed, biblically-anchored and relationally-oriented. In his work he values curiosity, compassion, honesty and hope. He especially enjoys working with couples—both premarital and married—as well as individuals navigating spiritual abuse, burn out, anxiety, and grief. He also enjoys working with artists and creatives.
He lives in Central Florida with his wife, Jackie, and their three children (Lydia, 9; Jojo, 7; and Judah, 5) where he serves as the Pastor of Care and Counseling at Mosaic Church. A significant part of their journey has been learning to navigate life while caring for their oldest daughter, Lydia, who is medically complex and has developmental disabilities. Outside of ministry and coaching, Peter enjoys creating as a singer-songwriter, reading theology and fantasy, experiencing the enchanting beauty of God's creation, sharing imaginative adventures with his kids, and exploring the Disney parks.
